About the Assessment Alliance Pilot Network
NBME invites medical schools to become a prioritized partner in testing innovative assessments. Through an initiative we are calling the Assessment Alliance Piloting Network, we are gathering key contacts (i.e., Assistant/Associate/Director of Student Affairs) at select medical schools within our community to be communications conduits for NBME’s research to assist in the recruitment of a diverse population of students to test and provide feedback on our innovative and exploratory assessment research and development work.
About AAPN Opportunities
Please note that expressing interest does not guarantee membership, as interest must match with NBME needs. If selected for membership, the information from this form will be used to match Members with NBME projects. Once you sign up to join the AAPN, NBME will reach out with periodic invitations to participate in studies, and you may choose whether or not to disseminate each invitation based on the timing details and the testing requirements.
Responsibilities & Time Commitments
There are broad opportunities available for participation, and students may be invited for activities ranging from focus groups to user interface testing to pilot testing a new assessment model. Students who participate in piloting activities will receive gift cards for their time and feedback. NBME will secure learner data and protect their identity, and all research studies will receive prior approval from NBME’s IRB.
