Who Are Our Volunteers?
NBME's volunteers are individuals from around the country and abroad who contribute to NBME's work, particularly in test development or advisory capacities.
Most volunteers are physicians or scientists working in medical education, and are sometimes referred to as NBME's "national faculty of medicine." We also have volunteers who represent the public, health systems, other types of healthcare providers, and more. Most volunteers are subject matter experts within their field of medicine, but there are volunteer opportunities from across the basic sciences, assessment, arenas and other health professions.
